For my second post, here is grandpa, Daniel Autrey Hanners. He was born July 11, 1921 in Doniphan, Ripley Co., Missouri. Which is a small country town, in the southeast corner of Missouri. Dads childhood was full of the things that farm kids do, because his father, Daniel Gladstone Hanners, a.k.a. "Glad", was a farmer, and his mother, Maryann Autrey Hanners, was a school teacher.
Grandpa was two in this picture. He was taken to a nice picture studio, by his folks, to get this done, so the tiny tricycle, probably isn't his. Don't you just love his sweet little jumper, and nice leather shoes?! I wonder how hard they tried, to get him to smile for the camera?
