MaryAnn Scearce 4 & 6 months

Just when I thought, I didn't have any pictures of grandma, MaryAnn Scearce, when she was just a wee baby, I came across this one, when she is only four months old. Doesn't she look like a doll sitting there?! Grandma used this very same bassinet for her children, and I used it for mine as well. It is the sweetest thing, made from wicker, and rolls on little black wheels.
Then I found these three, very sweet one's, where her daddy, Richard Gregg Scearce, a.k.a. Dick, is holding her. She is now six months old, and looking so adorable. They are in the front yard of his parents house, in Mosier, Oregon. Don't you want to smile?! The dog wants his picture taken too. Plus, it looks like it's laundry day, at the Scearce house. Babies make for lots of washing.

MaryAnn was such a precious baby, made even more so, since great grandma, Wanda Dale Roberts, a.k.a. Dale, had, had such a dangerous time, giving birth to her, the doctors said, she could never have another, so MaryAnn, would be their only child.

Wesley Gerald Robison

Since I started with my husbands side, I thought I would do my side next. However, I will only put up my father, since he is no longer living.

This is a picture of my father, Wesley Gerald Robison, a.k.a. Wes, and his younger brother, Hubert Eugene Robison. Wes was born June 30, 1931 in Southard, Canton Co., Oklahoma. His brother, Hubert was born, Feb 4, 1933 in Seiling, Dewey Co., Oklahoma.

The boys sure seem to be enjoying, that age old game of horse. Look at the grin on my fathers face, as he gives his brother a ride. I think the ride has got too wild, and Hubert is shouting, WHOA!

This picture, taken at the same time as the last, shows Hubert in the background, chasing a hound dog. I do not know the name of the dog, but no doubt it was a pet.
In the foreground, stands my grandfather, Gerald Dawson Robison, a.k.a. Shorty. He is leaning against his car, rifle in hand. I think he is pretty proud of that rifle.

.
This is the third in this series, taken at the same time as the pictures above. Here we see, Hubert once again, on the left, but this time, Wes is holding his dad, Shorties, rifle. Grandma Lillie Mary Thompson-Robison, is the person behind the camera, and since she took these pictures, unfortunately there isn't one showing her here.

Daniel Autrey Hanners 2 years

For my second post, here is grandpa, Daniel Autrey Hanners. He was born July 11, 1921 in Doniphan, Ripley Co., Missouri. Which is a small country town, in the southeast corner of Missouri. Dads childhood was full of the things that farm kids do, because his father, Daniel Gladstone Hanners, a.k.a. "Glad", was a farmer, and his mother, Maryann Autrey Hanners, was a school teacher.
Grandpa was two in this picture. He was taken to a nice picture studio, by his folks, to get this done, so the tiny tricycle, probably isn't his. Don't you just love his sweet little jumper, and nice leather shoes?! I wonder how hard they tried, to get him to smile for the camera?

MaryAnn Scearce One Year

For my very first post, on my very first blog, I decided to start with grandma, MaryAnn Scearce. She was born in the Cottage Hospital, on Oak Street, in Hood River, Oregon, February 6th, 1924. She went with her folks, Dick & Dale Scearce, to live with her grandparents, Harry & Anne Scearce, at their place, which was known as, Hosier Heights Ranch, in Mosier, Oregon. They grew some apple's, but mostly cherries, in their orchard there.
This picture of grandma was taken when she was one year old, and was on the back porch, of the house in Mosier. Sadly, this house has since burned down, but I will be sharing pictures of it, as I go. Grandma told me, that she doesn't remember living there, as she was much too young. But she did go there, and play as a child, and always loved her trips to the farm.
