A Trip to Akaka Falls - Part 1

A glorious day with blue skies and white fluffy clouds overhead is a perfect day for a trip to my favorite spot on the Big Island of Hawaii, Akaka Falls. Akaka Falls Park is indeed a wonderland of foliage and fauna of wild beauty of megalithic proportions. The trail is all paved tho narrow and wends its way delightedly through the jungle, amidst stands of tall bamboo and enormous tree's. It is truly the land of the giants, yet there too along its verge's are tiny delicate ferns and lovely pinky fingernail sized flowers too beautiful to miss. A true delight!
