May I Be A Joy To Your Heart Lord

 Today is my grandma Lillie Robison's birthday. I was thinking of her and remembering her steadfast love for God. I thought about all the times she had encouraged me in my life, and how she had always been such a joy to me. I wish she was still here today so I could wish her a Happy Birthday. I miss you grandma, especially on Valentines Day! This poem I wrote I dedicate to her memory. May I be ever steadfast to the Lord.

May I Be A Joy To Your Heart Lord

May I be a joy to your heart Lord,
may I always do what is right.
May I spread your love to the rest of the world,
may I be a child of your light.

May I be a joy to your heart Lord,
may I have a word oft’ to share.
May I be a light in the darkness to all,
may I always show that you care.

May I be a joy to your heart Lord,
may I be a child of the King.
May I lift my voice oft’ in praises to you,
may I think of heaven and sing.

May I be a joy to your heart Lord,
may I share the gift of your grace.
May I show the height and the depth of your love,
may I bring a smile to your face.

May I be a joy to your heart Lord,
may I be a joy unto you.
May I keep your Spirit forever in me,
may I keep a heart that is true.

For you are the joy of my heart Lord,
the gift of your Spirit in me.
Tells of your grace and your unbounding love,
that saved me and set my soul free.
