Jesus Our Shelter In The Time Of Storm

 Today is World Poetry Day, so in recognition of the day, I share this poem I wrote. I hope it reminds you of the blessings we have in Jesus, for He truly is our shelter in a time of storm.

 Life is a thunderstorm of rumbling sound,

sometimes its lightning strikes us to the ground.

But we have a Savior that calms stormy sea's,

so call on his name, when you're down on your knee's.

Tho the wind lashes and storm rages long,

and everything seems in your life to go wrong.

Call on the Savior for he is the way,

he is your shelter and strength every day.

He is our refuge in this storm of life,

he won't forsake you amidst all its strife.

Run to his arms he is waiting for you,

run to the Lord he will carry you through.

He will bring laughter in spite of the rain,

he will bring joy even when you're in pain.

He knows your heart and he's longing for you,

his love is faithful to carry your through.

When this storm passes and we are above,

we won't look back but just bask in his love.

All this life's worries will grow strangely dim,

when we are in heaven abiding with Him.
